Sydney Braille Forum Meeting

Our special guest presenter will be Tricia D’Apice, Senior Consultant in Vision Impairment at RIDBC. Tricia will be discussing the results of The Braille Literacy Project. Tricia won the Premier IOOF scholarship to investigate braille acquisition and the reading speeds of braille users compared to their sighted peers. She has some great suggestions to improve her findings. An important topic for all educators as well as of interest to all braille users.

You are welcome to stay after the meeting for dinner in the Golden Hawk restaurant. We will need to book so please indicate if you will be staying on for dinner.

Braille Club is a joint initiative of Braille House and the Queensland Braille Forum, providing a fun opportunity for braille-using students to practice their skills and meet other touch readers. All are welcome.
